Coliseum Mountain

Just north of the cabin sits Coliseum Mountain. A moderate 15 km hiking trail delivering a panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains.

Hoodoo Creek

A number of easy to moderate hiking trails and scenic photo opportunities await at Hoodoo Creek. As the name implies, the area is home to eroded rock formations sometimes known as earth pyramids.

Cline River Canyon

A short family friendly trail with dramatic views along the way and of the canyon itself. A popular spot for ice climbing in the winter. For a guided excursion check with local adventure companies for their offerings.

Abraham Lake

The beauty of Abraham Lake draws visitors in every season. Skate over the bubble phenomenon in winter or observe the turquoise blue waters in warmer months.

Take A Hike

If you are looking for a challenge, Allstones Lake Trail and Vision Quest both offer stunning views overlooking Abraham Lake. Be sure to do your research ahead of time for these moderate to difficult trails.

Goldeye Lake

A short drive from the cabin, Goldeye Lake is a great spot to take a dip or go for a paddle. If water isn’t your thing, walk the loop trail and enjoy the scenery. In the winter, have a go at ice fishing!

Chase Waterfalls

A trip to Crescent Falls, Siffleur Falls, or Ram Falls are all within reach and make for a rewarding adventure at the end of your trek.

Via Ferrata

Visit the Brazeau Collieries Mine Site and Heritage Museum to learn about this unique community and it’s coal mine. A rare opportunity to visit an industrial historic site in Alberta.

Fish Lake

Also known as Shunda Lake, this is an excellent place for all types of outdoor activities such as swimming, paddling, biking, or hiking. Or as it’s name suggests, enjoy the day fishing for rainbow trout from shore or by boat.
